Automatically post blog entries to Facebook

Posted on November 23, 2009

This is something which we find very useful and time-saving when it comes to sharing links to blog entries on your website through Facebook.

It takes 2 minutes to setup, and will save you a lot of time in the future.

1. Login to your Facebook account, and then click here.

2. Click on ‘How do I import entries from an external blog?’

3. Click the ‘Import a blog’ link that is now visible.

4. Enter the link to your RSS feed (Not your blog!) from your website, like so:

Add your RSS feed link to Facebook

Eg. susiehutson.co.uk’s RSS feed can be found here: http://susiehutson.co.uk/main/feed/

modelpollytaylor.co.uk’s RSS feed can be found here: http://modelpollytaylor.co.uk/main/feed/rss/

saragmodel.co.uk’s RSS feed can be found here: http://saragmodel.co.uk/main/feed/

5. Tick the box agreeing to Facebook’s terms.

6. Click ‘Start importing’. (This may take a minute or so, but be patient).

7. You should now see something like this:

Confirm import

Click ‘Confirm import’ and within 5 minutes, your blog entries will be imported to your Facebook notes. Now each time you create a new article on your website, It’ll be published to Facebook automatically (It can take up to 12hrs to appear, but it works well).

If this guide was helpful to you- I’d appreciate it if you could use the share buttons below to share this article on Facebook, Twitter, etc
