Automatically publish blog to Facebook profile
Sharing links to blog posts on your personal website, via Facebook (Automatically!)
Remember: It’s important that you use Facebook correctly for marketing your business, otherwise you could end up doing more harm than good. This guide is aimed at those of you who own a personal website (Not for business!). Read this for details.
Just think; usually when you add a new blog post to your website, you’d normally login to Facebook and post a link on your profile. There’s no need for that- it can be done automatically via your RSS feed, and it only takes a couple of minutes to setup.
Simply follow these easy steps to import your blog posts to Facebook:
- Login to your Facebook account, then go to your profile.
- Click on the ‘Notes’ tab. If it’s not there, click on the little + sign to the right of the tabs that are there… choose ‘Notes’ from the drop-down menu, and the tab will be added.
- Whilst on the Notes tab, click on the link at the bottom left that says ‘edit import settings’.
- Now simply enter the link to the RSS feed from your website, like so:
5. Tick the box agreeing to Facebook’s terms.
6. Click ‘Start importing’. (This may take a minute or so- be patient).
7. You should now see something like this:
Click ‘Confirm import’ and within 5 minutes, your blog entries will be imported to your Facebook notes. Now each time you create a new article on your website, It’ll be published to Facebook automatically (It can sometimes take up to 12hrs to appear, but it works well).
